Yes and yes. We’re on for tonight, and ruleswise, we play the most beginner-friendly version of D&D. Be great to have you join us!

Just to clarify, we play an older version of the game, not 5th edition, so you’d have to redo your character. This only takes about 15 minutes, however, so no big deal.
