  • we will create characters together
    • … this will take ~ 2min (5min if you never have played D&D before)
  • the game has a strong old school early edition D&D vibe
  • the adventure itself is a dungeoncrawl

if you know D&D 5E you know Shadowdark

  • the system is fast & simple
    • roll d20+bonus to meet/beat a DC (or Armor Class of an enemy)
    • advantage/disadvantage = same as in D&D 5E (roll 2d20, take the highest/lowest)
  • torches are important
    • no PC has Darkvision
    • the game uses a real-time mechanic (1h) when torches burn out
  • treasure also grants XP
