I’d be interested in the T3 adventure, sounds interesting! Still open to play the T2 adventure if that’s the majority though
I am fine with both adventures maybe the first one a little more, because dungeon crawls are kinda my thing, but the second one sounds cool too!
Im gonna need help for the T2 T3 character sheets. But it sounds fun?
Just be there half an hour early, folks will be there to help you
I will bring Itras By and Shadowdark in case we need more DMs
but would prefer to play @BufoBufo T2

As Dr. Komiskey and Signgleton drop to the ground, their faces covered by the alien species they had only encountered so recently, a great quiet falls over the outpost of Hadley’s Hope. Who would have thought that an outpost which had been constructed over decades could fall silent forever in just 48 hours?
As the camera pans up from the two immobilised bodies and looks into the Weyland-Yutani corporate shuttle, we start to see past the rows of eggs, past the equipment racks straight into the cockpit… where a singular light on the comms-array blinks away quietly.
Thank you very much for joining me in the doomed outpost “Hadley’s Hope”. I hope you had as much fun as I had.
Each of you gains a story point which you may use the next time you play the Alien RPG at my table. This point (as well as all future points) belongs to you as a player and not to your character.
PS: As I am feeling quite inspired by the ending to our adventure - I may pick up the story of Hadley’s Hope at some point in the future to play a sort of Epilogue. (no promises yet as I’m still learning the system, but I’ve got some story - ideas)
@katnyx thanks for the fun game yesterday!
@Blunzengrostl was the one I brought with me (you wanted his handle for the loot I think).
Lago, Doras and Robin return to Grayhaven to deliver the Star Shard to Cendrail the Stargazer, who - at the urging of Robin and Doras - casts Protection from Good / Evil on Lago and rids them of the Ghost. Whether Lago shares that he actually has the compass or not, is up to him. He does have an utter fascination and great knowledge about stars now.
Assuming that Lago keeps the compass and you deliver the Star Shard, which is helpful but not quite what you were asked to do, you split up the gold you made from selling the items which comes out to 25 GP each. As you were helpful but didn’t exactly fulfill the task, you are awarded 60 GP by Cendrail. He is however impressed that you managed to survive and is willing to give you a choice of magic items.
That means, all in all:
- everyone gets 85 GP
- everyone can level if they chooose
- everyone gets 10 Downtime Days.
Everyone can choose one of the items Cendrail offers (it’s okay if several characters take the same item)
- Robe of useful items : In addition to the standard patches, you have 3 additional ones: 2 of them are the pit, (52-59), one of them creates 4 Potions of healing. I think this is within the VALUE rules, if it’s not, I hope to be corrected
- A quiver holding 3 adamantine arrows and 2 unbreakable arrows
- A guardian emblem
In addition:
- You show Cendrail the rusted dagger from the Sarcophagus and realize it is, in fact, just an old, broken dagger.
- Lagos has the compass, but doesn’t know what to do with it. It’s just a compass for VALUE purposes.
- The robe of stars is, as mentioned, above T1. Seeing as all its charges are already expended, @snd Robin can decide to sell the remains for an additional 2GP per party member or keep it as a homebrew item only good at my tables. If she (was Robin a she?) keeps it, wearing it at my table will give her the ability of knowing North (but nothing else).
As for the three of you, well. I have to say, I’m impressed. You learned that tickling, uhm, hitting or fishing for, sleeping dragons is quite lethal and yet, you worked through numerous traps and near-death situations and made it out alive, even if barely so.
Thanks for playing “Voyage of the Fallen Star - Adventure 1: The Monastery of the Arched Sky”. I had a blast, and hope you did too.
edited: Because we talked about what the exact rules were for finesse weapons, this is for future reference.
Finesse.
When making an attack with a finesse weapon, you use your choice of your Strength or Dexterity modifier for the attack and damage rolls. You must use the same modifier for both rolls.
Thanks you for being a great DM! Had so much pleasure (:
Thank you! I think Doras will thank both Robin and Lago for not leaving him in the claws of the crab everyone but him wanted to fight and gladly take the Guardian Emblem for the next time that happens.
I had a lot of fun, thanks for all of you playing and again for hosting this fun adventure (:
See you again soon.
While you can definitely take the Guardian emblem, it requires attunement by a paladin. So you can take it and keep it for swapping or something, but you can’t use it to prevent your death.
With 2 rangers, I wanted to give you a magical bow but was too slow in thinking about it and too quick to post. I can’T add an extra piece of loot because there’s only 3 players, but if @Blunzengrostl isn’t interested in the arrows, either, I can replace the Quiver with a +1 bow
@katnyx Thanks for DMing! I had a lot of fun.
Once Lago is free of Magnus and he dosen’t feel the urge to keep the compass any longer, he would share that he had the compass all along and return it to finish their quest as tasked. And as Lago is good with a bow he would take the quiver and the magical arrows.
In that case @Blunzengrostl @snd and @Dale your payment increases by 15 GP (75 from Cendrail and 25 from selling the dungeon stuff)
Ah I didn’t see that it was a paladin item. In that case I’ll take the quiver too.
Thank you for playing and exploring giant history
You gain:
- 1 level up
- 10 Downtime Days
- 120 GP from the few things you looted.
- Your choice of the Glowrune Pigments (4 Pots), Dragonslayer (Greatsword)
Those who pick the Dragonslayer get at my table:
Oksavmakt - Bane of Dragons
This greatsword is outfitted with the “Dragon Rune”. As a bonus action you can activate the rune. If you are in combat with a dragon type enemy, you use the Greatsword as a throwing weapon. It has a reach of 30/60 and will return after each throw to your hand.
