location: Die Requisite, Krummgasse 1A 1030 Vienna, Austria
New info for the space:
Entry is only 4€ per person
Drinks are also 4€ each, but are not mandatory
Outside food and drink are welcome
Please throw away your trash when you leave and return any glasses to the kitchen.
We’ve also been asked that people limit gathering right outside the door as much as possible. Short smoke breaks aren’t a problem, we just don’t want to disturb the neighbors.
Post below if you are coming - all tables are open. Players of any level of experience are welcome.
Please indicate in your post:
Do you come to DM or play?
Which Tier is your game or character
If you are new
and need some help with character creation. (If you don’t need help with character creation → make sure to read the houserules linked at the end of this post. Characters that have not been played at VALUE before can be created at level 1 or level 5, and we are still using the 2014 rules.)
If there’s interest (3-5 players), I would DM a T2 (max level 8) where your characters have died and are trying to return to the material plane. It resembles a dungeon crawl.
Otherwise I‘d play any table
Notice: PCs in this adventure play as fractured souls, which puts some limitations on abilities.
You cannot gain the effects of a long rest
You are resistant to necrotic damage
All healing you receive is halved
Due to the severity of the wind in the setting, there is no possibility for flying PCs be it by item or spell and all creatures have disadvantage on DEX saves.
If there’s interest, I’d like to try running Once More, With Feeling. It’s a mind-fucky horror mystery one-shot for up to 5-6 high T2 players (level 8-9 ideally).
Summary: You are the Slayers of Anaris, a renowned group of veteran monster hunters. After wrapping up yet another successful mission, you are eager to return to your keep and enjoy some well-earned rest. However, awaiting you at home is something else entirely. A door that wasn’t there before. A cryptic message left behind by your leader and mentor who vanished three years ago. And a danger unlike anything you have faced before.
Contents: Mostly exploration/investigation. Moderate amount of higher-difficulty combat. Some graphic/disturbing content (think Alien levels). Various midfuckery.
Important Note: The one-shot is pretty much a blatant DnD-themed rip-off of the Antimemetics Division series from SCP Foundation (in particular Case Colourless Green/SCP-3125). If you’re familiar with that, you already know the mystery, so you probably won’t get much out of the game.
In addition, the adventure is on the longer side, so we could run a little late if everyone’s cool with that.
It seems as there are not enough players at @turtlene’s table, so we probably have to join you too. Would that be fine?
Unfortunately I only have characters at level 9 and 10 in T2, and since my level 9 character is a fiend warlock of Asmodeus, he would not fit into your adventure at all - when he dies, his soul becomes the Lord of Law’s property according to the 13th amendment to article 666, and he - hopefully - becomes his personal lawyer in the nine hells
However, for my level 10 characters there can definitely be reasons for why they passed away.
