Everyone (probably) knows that we play mostly DnD 5th Edition around here. Yet lots of people have voiced interest in playing other systems as well. This thread isn’t intended to set up any games, but rather, as a resource. People write what systems they are interested in and would like to play and anyone visiting can look it up and message others with similar interests. Im going to start:
What comes to mind? A non exhaustive list might be:
Savage Worlds (Interface Zero, Sundered Skies, Weird West…)
Pathfnder 1/2
Starfinder
Storyteller (World of Darkness - Vampire and their, well, “friends”)
Numenera
Iron Kingdoms
Shadowrun
Next challenge: split between systems and settings, consider content that’s nominally d&d but far off the beaten track. Or the grafting of a specific setting onto a generic system.
Sometimes I am channeling my inner Morla, taking a peek at what is happening in the world from a distance every now and again; wondering how often the past can be forgotten by an ever increasing influx of new people.
I like things in the powered by the apocalypse system or forged in the dark. Also am interested in more short form narrative systems like the quiet year*** or fiasco. My short list is:
The quiet year
Beam saber
Armour astir
Icon
Thirsty sword lesbians
Girl by moonlight
Songs for the dusk
Kingdom
And here is my list (not complete)
Vampire
Shadowrun (even when I’m critical about the system but love the world)
Blades in the Dark
Blade Runner RPG
Mask
In generall trying out new systems with different approaches
Things on my ‘I wanna try’ list:
Star Trek (2d20) - either standard or Klingons
Swords of the Serpentine (Gumshoe)
Band of Blades (BitD)
Skycrawl (PbtA)
Veins of the Earth (whatever system)
Ultraviolet Grasslands (ditto)
Please move meta conversation on the topic outside of the thread if possible. The purpose of this thread as a repository will be quickly defeated if more than half its content has nothing to do with its intended purpose. Thank you
I’ve GMed a few Spire campaigns before, which uses the D10 Resistance Toolbox. It’s a great thematic storytelling RPG, and I’d love to run a one-shot for anyone interested, if there are any takers! If playing a group of oppressed dark elves resisting their high elf overlords in a magical 1900s-esque city sounds appealing, then it’s the game for you.
