I will be there to DM a completely orthodox DnD adventure called “The Haunting of Sleepy Hollow”. Low T2, meaning characters from levels 5-7 would be best for the experience. Themes are medieval gothic tones and the chase after the answer to questions while being assaulted by a force that needs to be banished (if possible). Classically harrowing stuff.
I do, in fact, mind and I want to run this game without you there as a player.
Why? I also want to have fun with DnD and wish the same for the group. Me simply wanting it to be that way should already be enough of a justification.
I am not opposed to it. Seems like we might be 4-6 players plus me as DM.
Come and join us, it will be a mystery/spooky setting with lots to do and discover.
The place opens at 12:00 (I will be there by noon) and kick-off time is at ~12:30 but we can always start once we are ready, so no worries there.
It is a completely orthodox adventure. No homebrew, nothing outside of the game weird stuff. Only D&D as it is supposed to be played.
Bring a character that is between levels 5 to 7 for the best experience as I want to avoid envy between the players and be ready to become immersed.
I would join if there is space or someone cancels.
Otherwise I would try dming a T1/T2 if someone wants to join.
It would be my first time DMing though so I might make mistakes here and there.
Many thanks to @Tea007@Tequila_Sunset@gurk and @SvenGudjohnson for successfully playing my T2 version of The Haunting Of Sleepy Hollow!
I had great fun being your DM and can commend the diligence and professional curiosity you all showed in solving the adventure. Great RP as well, which is the heart of D&D.
Your inquisitive and resourceful ways resulted in the Banishment of the BBEG and her minion, who was the terror of the locale.
You each earn 1 level up, 10 Downtime Days & 150 Gold Pieces each.
Additionally you may lay claim to only 1 of the following magic items:
The Sleepy Hollowians thank you kindly for breaking the yoke of their tormentors.
You will be memorialized in statues but also within the local faith.
Adventurers and merchants alike will find their way to Sleepy Hollow once more and life will begin to seep in accordingly.
Nature is healing over the wounds of the past, as it always does.
You were inspiring to the NPCs and maybe there will be a follow-up adventure, but I will announce it as such when it’s ready.
You can also literally text me.
It is a forum. You can do that. I will read it, I promise.
