Playtesters Wanted (Trail of Cthulhu)

Hola,

I’m looking for a couple bold playtesters for a Trail of Cthulhu scenario under consideration for a publication for which I do a little testing.

One session to be held within the next two weeks, 2-4 players, no experienxe with playtesting, Trail, Cthulhu in general, or even roleplaying required. You’ll be credited in the final product, should you so choose.

Anybody up for it?

I’d be glad to join if you don’t mind. As long as the times don’t overlap with our Pathfinder group, that is.
Sadly, I’m only familiar with the Call of Cthulhu RPG, but I can quickly research Trails of Cthulhu till next week.

i´m also interested^^
but as the GM of above named group i will say if it overlaps^^

Cool! I’m up for that too, depending on when it is
Edit: and Ally just said she’s up for it too!

And, as per usual, I volunteer for hosting duties…

Sounds like a great group. It’ll be fun meeting some new people. I’m fine with five players if we stay relatively focused.

No need whatsoever to research the game beforehand.

I think a weekend would be best, simply in order to be a bit open-ended timewise. How does the last weekend of Septemeber sound to you?

And thanks for offering to host again, Simon. I’ll probably take you up on that to avoid interruption not conducive to roleplaying immersion (“Daddy … can slugs climb trees?”), but I’ll get back to you on that.

Thanks for the enthusiastic responses!

I am pretty sure that they indeed can.
I don’t know about a whole WE, though, as I also have the pathfinder group to play with…

A weekend would be best … for the date of our session. (See first post )

(Tempting though the thought of a whole weekend of gaming might be…)

sorry my weekends in september are long gone xD

is trail also in 1940 and such`?

So a normal game session over a week-end then?
That should work for me, but preferentially on a Sunday so that not to interefere with Pathfinder. That might be a big restriction for some, however…

If weekends are out for Bazhell, I suppose we could swing a weeknight instead. but as usual, scheduling seems to be turning into the most difficult part of this game.

So, let’s see … Who could make it next Monday evening? Wednesday evening? Next Thursday? This Saturday afternoon? This Sunday?

I’m hoping to find a time slot that works for everyone, but I’m afraid that unlike most sessions, there’s a deadline involved here, and we may just have to go with the date that works for the most people. Apologies in advance if someone gets left out, but I’m still hopeful we’ll all be able to meet up.

Anyway, please let me know, either here or via PM. Thanks!

Anything except Monday should work for me.
Though I currently got a cold which screwed up my voice. So if it’ll be this wekend, I apologize in advance for sounding as if I ate rusty nails.

Actually, that qualifies as good roleplaying.

Everything but Saturday afternoon is good for me.

I have just discovered a neato little website called Doodle.

doodle.com/

it allows you to create a number of timeslots, and people indicate those times that they are available.

Since not everyone has their personal schedules in Outlook calendars on the same network (hey, Neil, are we getting ON that?), this can substitute.

So can just, you know, asking people. :b

(Hey, you’re too old to fall for my free yard work ploy, I’m too old for this doodle stuff.)

You mean ask people, then MANUALLY enter it into a chart so that you can compare all the times and dates and select the one with the most people on it?

Isn’t that a lot of work?

No, I mean ask people, then MENTALLY determine which date works for the most people.

It’s just five people… (Man, I feel unhip now.)

Then again, I have been known to miss the odd appointment, so you may have a point…

next week is tight…
thursday is free
the rest ísnt avaiable

but u can play without me np with that^^

Thursday is also free for me.
