My name is Vera, 36, I’m Austrian and have been living in Vienna for more than 10 years. Why am I in an English-speaking community, you might wonder? I only ever played DnD in English, so it comes naturally to me.
I don’t have loads of experience with classic DnD but I know how it works, at least. Actually, my friend from Finland introduced me to the concept during the pandemic, so I’ve almost exclusively played online. I’ve had one live one-shot session so far and it was a lot of fun, so I’m looking for more occasions to do that. Ideally here, of course.
I need to get familiar with the system you’re using, so I’ll see to that.
Other than DnD, I love video games (just finished Baldur’s Gate 3 yesterday for the first time, oh the feels!), movies and shows (mostly sci-fi and fantasy), nature walks, a good glass of wine, cycling, reading and just generally chill things.
If it’s classic D&D you’re looking for rather than the modern version, just drop me a line. We have a regular old school game; you’re welcome to drop by.
welcome beware of @H he is the nicest killer DM I’ve ever had the honor to meet and play with
besides the open classic D&D game(s) he runs we also have regular 5e open tables (fridays and saturdays usually) with our own V.A.L.U.E. ruleset (to allow for “easier” crossplay and character progress with dfferent DMs), these sessions are a good way to get to know people and potentially find or start regular campaign groups
Hello everyone. My name is Christos 42. I just moved to Vienna and I am looking to join a group / game of DnD. I used to play in Hamburg but my group kind of split 2 years ago.
I have some experience but not crazy and want to expand it. Open to anything.
Other than DnD I play lots of board games and wargames.
I also am into video games. Baldurs gate 3 helped my scratch my itch for DnD last year.
Welcome both - as others have said, there are basically three bunches of us about at the moment - Friday night 5e at two locations and H’s old school game - those are good ways to see who is around either to join regularly or start a spin off group.
