So I’m planning on making a wild magic sorceress and wanted to ask for opinions on one thing: the wild magic table. I don’t wanna have it open because that’d just take away the whole fun of rolling on it if I can look up the exact effects, but I also like knowing some things, so I thought of doing a table of notes with just a few distinctions (attached image). I just wonder if even that would be too much, or if that sounds like a good compromise to other people too. Ofc I’d check in with the DM beforehand whether it’d be okay for them
I’m not sure I understand the goal.
One could reorder the table to make it increasingly good (and order the unclear things somewhere too)
Or is it about not knowing when/if your hair grows back when it randomly falls off?
The secondary part, mostly. Like there are those effects that last a certain time that the DM might or might not mention too. But there’s also some effects where, in-universe, what happened wouldn’t be completely clear (like casting invisibility on yourself for example).
The ordering idea I did consider, but finding the matching number would be more annoying like that I feel like
