Oh, the elves of Vornheim (soon to be known as Spiderheim) will get used to it rather quickly I figure. We used to have a Medusa ruling us only a couple years back… so now its gonna be a Drider and its brood… big whoop 
(Did I mention I’m leaving the city and never coming back?

Alright, just for those who don’t know, or are un-sure.
The Mountain Witch.
A game of a group of desperate Ronin, sent on an impossible mission to infiltrate the Fortress of the Mythical Mountain Witch (Just as a note, it’s a male witch).
But the focus isn’t on the mission itself, but on the characters, their secret agendas, their interactions, etc.
Everyone gets dealt a secret card with his true motive at the start of the game that only he knows. They are mostly pretty vague so you still have freedom on interpreting it and making up the details yourself. You are also granted the power to narrate, npc’s, facts, story, even whole scenes into the game as long as it’s related to it.
System itself is really simple, and it’s more focused on teamwork and trust than individual ability and numbers.
So for now, we have Simon, Alrik, Tom and Darth on board. There’s still 2 more spaces to be filled, but I guess we can also allot that on the spot, so no prob there.

BTW I liked Kay’s idea of the underground caves where the people of Vornheim grow the high nutrition mushrooms to feed the millions of inhabitants. But lately more and more people have been missing, not only shroom-growers but people from the surface as well. Rumors of unspeakable evils start spreading. Well something like that… So maybe we’ll revisit the dungeons of Vornheim next time!?
But for the next week I’m already very excited about the Mountain Witch! Sound great, GJsoft!!!

Ah, the game I’ve mentioned was called Torchbearer.
I’m currently in the process of reading it and while it’s quite an intimidating beast, it’s proven interesting so far.

So, I got down with the flu. 2 days now and I really hope it’ll be gone in time. I think it will be gone by then.

Since some of us can’t make it this week, maybe we should change the plan, or skip this week’s games entirely.
If plans are changing and we’re scrambling for a game this week, I could certainly run one for whoever does show up if nobody else has anything planned. Happy to just play, too, of course …

I think it would probably be best to postpone Esteren, but I can offer a semi-spontaneous game of Grimm or something. I’d also be happy just to sit back and play, of course, but it would be nice if we could figure out our plans today.

Yes let’s postpone this weeks program entirely and do something else. Grimm sounds good and if Chyli can run CoC as well we would even be prepared for two separate games, right? So far we should end up with about 7!? So looking like one big game!?

Still need to read the rulebook I have, though (it actually is the beta version) and make some character sheets… It will be a while, is what I am saying…
