Hello guys! For a long time I was planning to run a campaign in the good old world of Warhammer Fantasy! Using the original system, of course. IN VALUE, but if someone has a nice place to host games that might also work.

For those of you who are unaware, there is a game called Warhammer Fantasy RPG. It’s set in a grim dark fantasy world, taking place in the EMPIRE!!! Which is a Holy Roman Empire on steroids, with steam tanks, battle priests and death mages.

Is there anyone here who would like to join? Any FB fans? Please, pretty please. I know that the system is very crunchy, but it is good. Mighty good.

WHFRP is a lot of fun; had the good fortune to get to play a chunk of the famous Enemy Within campaign years back, good times, good times.

Yes, It’s open! I’m thinking of playing it in VALUE, but if someone has a good place to host it, feel free to suggest. There is no date for it yet, by the way.

Feel free to post here what types of games you prefer. I’m gonna work on the story! Also, if someone has any FB or AOS (that would fit a FB aesthetics) miniatures, that would help a lot.

I’d be interested, by saying ‘old world of warhammer’, you still mean WFRP 4e, I should think. I have a load of the books. But it depends where and when, as always.

Okay. So, I have an idea.

How about we play a one shot. It’s going to be a siege of Nuln, from “Tamurkhan Throne of Chaos” story ark. Deadly, but really cool.

Quick, combat oriented, epic. You can create a warrior careers characters, and we will test the combat and system in general.

We will use standard tokens, unfortunately I don’t have much fantasy miniatures.

What do you think? We’ll see how it goes. Honestly, I have a lot on my hands besides WFRP, but I want to at least try to dm it!

from my experience DMing it, the system benefits from the theatre of mind more than a rigid grid; however I do have quite a few warhammer models we could try and use (albeit the deadliness jumps quite high when belakor or GUO enter the field) :smiley:

Okay. So, update on my plans.

I re-read the rulebook to refresh my memories on the system, and honestly at the moment it’s a bit too much for me. I don’t think I can handle it with the time I currently have on my hands.

So I will put it on hold for now. Sorry guys, I overestimated myself(

It is less daunting than it sounds like, would you consider joining as a player and I run a short-ish adventure? :slight_smile:
