What’s this time’s timelimit if I may ask? To have a general idea of the length.
You’re assuming that (a) there will again be a time limit (reasonable enough), (b) an old school DM would impart information to players without it being absolutely necessary (dubious), and © that I’ve actually come up with a scenario already (highly implausible). 
Probably 100 minutes or thereabouts. Seems like a nice, round number.
Just read your PM h. Rest assured I’ll be there for the second round next week! Might give me an opportunity to interrogate this weeks participants for tips on how to power-game my way through the tournament…

Everybody has been sworn to absolute secrecy, especially about the part with the halibut stuck up a … but I’ve said too much already.
Thanks for the kind words, guys. Much appreciated. I had a blast, too. It’s amazing to see the ingenious things all of you come up with, especially when I think I’ve accounted for all possibilities. Yeah, right.
I can’t give you any results yet since the groups’ scores are slightly interdependent, but it again looks very close. And there’s still plenty of room at the top for next week’s parties …

I’m afraid I already drafted Simon (winner of the boy scout “Be Prepared” Award") last week to make the numbers work. Sorry …
In any case, it looks like people will start showing up around 6 tomorrow, and we’ll kick off the first party as soon as it’s full. The second should be good to go around 7. But no worries; we’ll have plenty of time and can be casual about arrivals. The worst that can happen is that you’ll have to sit and drink for a bit before your group fills.
And yes, the very best of luck tomorrow!
Incidentally, the winners should be announced around 11 tonight.
(Scoring is dynamic, so it’ll take a couple minutes longer than last time, but it shouldn’t be too long after the last group finishes.)
