I want to rehearse my Siege of Thebes scenario and openly invite any roleplayers of DnD 5e to join me this Friday.
Tier of Play? 0, 1 or 2. We can decide this last minute as the adventure really doesn’t care about power level → instead your roleplay and decisionmaking largely determines how it goes.
what is there to do? surviving an entire fantasy siege and needing to infiltrate, exfiltrate, re-infiltrate and carve your way to objectives during wartime. expect mass panic, dire consequences and being pressed to achieve completion on a story-beat-based clock.
make the impact to determine the ending. it needs to be you and can’t be anyone else, really.
do not feel obligated to bring powerful characters because this won’t actually help you. do, however, invest yourself in the setting and satisfy what your weekend-imagination craves (in mythological Egypt!) …while…receiving involuntary history lessons because I love this place.
It is a session designed to be completed in a single sitting and with pressure in mind. I like to design densely, so a lot of content you come across is just there, however may be unimportant to your specific communal path through the journey. this is fine and is already taken into account. just go after the goal and you should be alright

It’s viable to me, but most parties’ journeys are different so you should bring a different character and chase after that other person’s wants to forge a new path. (Not the same Artificer, you know?)

I’ll be there by 18.40-ish, simply because I don’t want us to run late and we can get pre-game stuff out of the way on arrival. (also, I do not yet know any of your characters, which I’d like to be mindful of)
