We’ve also been asked that people limit gathering right outside the door as much as possible. Short smoke breaks aren’t a problem, we just don’t want to disturb the neighbors.
Post below if you are coming - all tables are open. Players of any level of experience are welcome.
I will be running a DnD 5e game this Friday. Either a rerun of Mythological Egypt “The necessary evil” (T2-esque, oriented [hah!] towards pressure and roleplay), or my Goblin adventure “SLICE OFF LIFE” (which is where everyone plays lvl 0 goblins and you are public enemy number 1 until the country is saved, no player character needs to be created for this).
Both can easily be done. Please let me know who is down for what.
I can fully sympathize with the sentiment that green is best.
However, I just made a judgement call and decided to lean towards Egypt for the simple reason that it’s an orthodox adventure, well-suited for beginners and veterans alike while the Goblin episode is more intended for those who want to unwind by diving into roleplay. Both is awesome, but I think I want to develop Thebes more due to its orthodoxy in design.
Let’s see what the people want, but that’s my current preference.
the worst thing that can happen is that I don’t run SLICE OFF LIFE this week, but you get preferred seating once I do run it, which can happen quite soon. Just saying. It’s ok either way.
I will run my Mythological Egypt adventure about the Siege of Thebes in T2 (character levels 5-10) named “the necessary evil”.
Expect turbulence, to immerse yourselves and attempt to thwart an ongoing politcal coup with massive casualties. It’s designed to be played through in one sitting - so if the session ends due to time constraints and you haven’t succeeded, you obviously lose the game. It’s very doable but designed with pressure in mind.
That being said, there is no need to bring “only the strongest characters” as this usually ruins gameplay. Instead, for your own sake, I ask you to play well. This can be done as any character and is far more rewarding. (your quality of play is the deciding factor, not the stats, spells or items on the character sheet)
The challenge is as advertised. Either join up here or message me if any questions arise.
