I will be re-running my new homebrew T2 adventure (suggested levels 5-8) called “Good Night, Good Luck, Don’t Die” (Horror/Combat)
The town of Ornin, recently proclaimed “City of Adventure” can’t seem to catch a break!
After some Necromancer murder kerfuffle and a trash monster snafu — both of which have severely impacted its economic outlook in the tourism sector — now something much more sinister is coming to haunt it from its past … literally.
This is horror-themed so this might feature body horror and to a lesser extent psychological horror and the potential of permanent changes to your player characters.
I’ll be using some Table Rules, that are also attached below. Nothing too odd, mostly potion, crit, surprise stuff.
Anything should be fine, I think you might recall Ornin from my very first time DMing where they had that little murder necromancer issue, this is set months later.
You successfully force the hag to temporarily relocate to the Abyss. Let’s hope she doesn’t come back to haunt the city of Ornin … or @orcanid who made a deal with her and became a Hexblood
You also get 20 Downtime Days that you can use for leveling up twice or for various other things.
@orcanid you are now a Hexblood (VRGR) - DND 5th Edition
This means that you either assign new skill proficiencies and ability score improvements or keep your old ones. If your old species had a swimming or flying speed, you keep that.
You lose/replace anything else including the starting feat for Variant Human.
I’ll chip in a little something extra for the Mayor. He will henceforth become known as “the Orninator” who triumphed over Oni and witches. He, who put a stop to dark machinations.
He will get this title for free before I leave town, due to gossip and roguery on my part. Let’s see if he makes us all proud with that new moniker
Other than that, it was cool to play with the other player characters and getting to know them in the process. Dying was in the realm of possibility, so that helped it along I think. Enjoy your Saturdays, everybody!
Father Dumont sends his regards to the mayor (Mr. Orninator), and would like to know what the scouting party found out about the nearby lake. Perhaps something he can learn in a future adventure?
