Repeating Shot
So that’s the thing. the only official source i can find it in, it’s in the artificer’s infusions. Does that mean that officialy the only way to have it is to be/befriend an artificer? or is there a way to put a price on the magic item that this would have been if it was written in a magic item-table?
it is ok as an Artificer Infusion but it is not as a treasure reward for a VALUE adventure
since it is not an “official WotC magic item” it is (basically) an artificer class feature
if you play an artificer at VALUE you can have it (as one of your Infusions)
Alrighty thanks! that means that the only way to actually shoot twice on a heavy crossbow as a ranger, would be taking the crossbow expert i suppose? not too bad. just thought i could skip straight to the sharpshooter 
So, for 2014:
it’s an artificer infusion, not a magical weapon. That means, as Darthbinks said, it is not a legal VALUE item. The only way to have a repeating shot weapon is to get a weapon infused by an artificer during the VALUE session.
However, what might have sparked the confusion, in the 2024 rules:
Repeating shot is now a magical item found in the Artificer UA document. As it is a magical item, it can be handed out like one as a reward in VALUE and therefore can be used independant of artificers.
and just to be clear Unearthed Arcana is per definition playtest material = not legal for VALUE
