And now it’s a murder mystery.
Or something like that.
Game on Sunday, time TBD.
D&D like it’s '83. Want to play? Just drop me a line!

A new word learned, even with an unexpected connection to the Fermi paradox? What a nerdy game
The full list of sessions (and some other stuff) can be found at Dernard’s Notes: AD&D (2022) , a short summary of the session can be found at Session 107 – “As-salt the slug”
Say what? I thought we were the cool kids’ table!
Denial: But we can’t be nerds! We’ve got cool rock music in our posts and stuff …
Realization: We do measure everything in smoots …
Acceptance: Fine, let’s talk about the Fermi paradox.
Aestivation hypothesis? Pfft. In an infinite universe with infinite alien species (see also: Sunscreen = BBQ Sauce somewhere, discussed last session), what are the odds they’d all decide to take a nap at the same time? Come on. And even if they did, some of them would wake up and get a glass of water, and where would they do that?
Blue planet, that’s where.
Duh.
So yeah, that aestivation business is Pynchonesque nonsense. Me, I’m an adherent of the Bad Neighborhood Conjecture. Those giant moai on Rapa Nui that clearly weren’t made by human technology? Hood ornaments for giant flying saucers, broken off by the locals. After getting their fancy starships vandalized, the alien visitors decided to give this place a wide berth. Can’t say I blame 'em.
Much more probable!
Yeah, this might just possibly be a nerdy game …
