As the Ministers inside the city prepare for their covert assault on Lord Errin Jubilant-The-Devoted’s mansion in Amaranth and the city begins to spiral into the chaos left by the death and destruction provided by the Vigilite prison break, the Princess Squad is being called on by Black Ops to lead an assault on the DCF high-tier base, which now backs into the Vermissian to give their operatives more flexibility. Without a distraction, this base will be directly policing Amaranth, and the Ministry is trying to improve the chances that their Ministers will succeed in finally destroying all of the Errin Jubilant-The-Devoted clones. You will be well armed - the aim is to make as much noise and destruction as possible, blowing up supply zones and checkpoints on your way to the secretive base and drawing in as many aelfir forces as possible. It may seem like a suicide mission - but you never know if the Throne Squad can tip fate in their favour and make it back alive!
In this one shot, we will be using Heart rules (Vermissian Black Ops) instead of Spire rules. If you have played previously, this will mean creating new characters for this session only, that no longer have to be dark elves; they could be human, aelfir or even gnolls - outcasts of the main city, living in the Vermissian. At the end of the session you will still earn an advance for your Spire character (if you have one) and we can also discuss translating the experience gained in Spire to your Heart character. As a basic rule of thumb, I will allow you to create characters with the equivalent number of Advances to Abilities (Low to Minor, Medium to Major and High to Zenith). Please also note that as a Vermissian Black Ops session, the domains are tweaked slightly to all have relevance to the Vermissian, so it’s not just the Technology domain that is necessary.
I have included below the materials necessary to make a Heart character. If this is your first visit to Heart/Spire, it’s no problem if you’d like to try this session! Just let me know if you have any questions.
