New to D&D

Hii! I am super new to D&D and have always wanted to participate but never got around until I found this forum! I saw weekly games are hosted and I wanted to ask if you must have a premade character ready when you want to attend. I’ve never filled out a character sheet and I’m kind of scared of messing it up xP Im a total newbie. Is there anything to keep in mind for a totally new player? Im planning on maybe showing up if I find a game being hosted that aligns with my work schedule.

Welcome! You can always get help with characters if you’re a bit early

i recommend showing up to the open games there are always at least a couple of people who are happy to help make characters and help with the rules during the game. so no stress will be happy to see you join.

aside from far simpler RPG-systems out there
… there are enough people there to help you to create a 5E D&D character :+1:
