We’ve been playing Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition (and before that 4e) for about 5 years, and both of us have around 3 years of DM experience. We’re looking for a few more players in or near Vienna to join a group that meets every 2–5 weeks.
We value a relaxed, cooperative table atmosphere and prefer players who avoid disruptive “main character” behavior. New players are very welcome, as are experienced ones.
We run a Session Zero to align expectations, themes, and character concepts, with the goal of maximizing group enjoyment. As a DM, I encourage creative, authentic characters and try to support players in building what they want—within reason. Characters should fit the group dynamic; consistently antisocial or party-conflicting concepts don’t work well in a cooperative game.
At its core, D&D is a social, group-based experience. Your character is typically an adventurer—someone motivated to engage with quests, whether for gold, personal goals, or doing good.
If you want a quick way to meet a lot of the folk in the community, come along to one of the Friday night sessions or Saturday afternoons - either join a table or run one, as you please - either way it will let you efficiently meet a lot of folks.
