Looking for Players for a Campaign (it has a Dragon!)

Hello Adventurers!

@Andrew_D and me are planning to co-DM a beginner campaign from the 2014 essentials kit Dragon of Icespire Peak and we’re looking for 3-4 players (of any experience) to join @Happy and @Fl .

The campaign consists of 8-10 sessions depending on how many side-quests the party chooses to take (strong Skyrim flair, classical high fantasy setting).

We’d start on October, 4th and meet on a bi-weekly basis on Saturdays in the 3rd district near U3 Schlachthausgasse.

Characters start at lvl 1. There are pregens available or you can bring whoever you like - preferably created according to 2014 (legacy on Dndbeyond) or VALUE rules.

Before that we can do a one-shot in September in dieRequisite to get to know each other and see, if you like my DMing style.

As to the DM team. I’m not the most experienced DM, but I promise you a lot of fun and support :slight_smile: I’ve played DnD for almost a year now, best known at dieRequisite as the funny Maxi the Tabaxi cat rogue. I ran a couple of DnD one-shots and a few games in other systems for my friends. They enjoyed them, so I have honest feedback to support my claim of being capable of running a fun and engaging game :smile:

Andrew wants to become a DM, so let’s help him train! His strongest sides (in contrast to me) are his maths and organising skills, so we’ll be splitting our responsibilities to make the game more dynamic. I do most of the talking, he does most of the rolling. Moreover, he has prepared so many cool physical items for the campaign, that the game will be highly visually pleasing.

About our group in general: we’re 35+yo, 2m, 2f, multi-national friends who went on many adventures and shared plenty of laughs along the way. Snacks and drinks are a regular part of our sessions, sometimes we even do thematic dinners before the game.

We’re looking for players who are:

  • respectful and friendly
  • easygoing when it comes to rules (we follow them but don’t do rule police/lawyers)
  • comfortable with a non-restrictive vibe around food
  • fine with occasional black humour

Ohhhhh, that’s such a cool idea to co DM, did not see this done before in person, I am very excited for both of you to start it. I would love to join, I am a newbie in DnD myself and an aspiring DM so seeing you taking a crack at it makes my spirit aflame. I would definitely join your session zero if you would have me.

Hey, I’m 41(m) and totally new to D&D. Been wanting to play for ages but never had anyone around who was into it. I’ve watched plenty of Critical Role and other games on YouTube, and now I’d really love to finally give it a try myself. Also a big fan of dark humor, so if that’s your group’s vibe, I’m in.

I prefer talking in English, so multicultural sounds amazing, I`m still quite the beginner, with DnD and the Roleplaying part is more important to me then the rules. 35yo

That’s totally fine! I’m pretty flexible and easygoing. For me, storytelling and having fun matter more than strictly following the rules. I do get a little nervous about roleplaying, so doing a one-shot before the campaign would really help me feel more comfortable.

I find RP and improv challenging too, so no worries! I already have an idea for a fun one-shot :blush: we’re all gonna do great!

@Kirgul and @Andrew_D both put a ton of energy, fun, and effort into their games, so anyone who joins them will have a great time! Definitely recommend!
