We’ll be hosting a free one-shot session of Daggerheart on the 13th (Sunday) at noon – come join us! Game Master David will be leading the session, and both beginners and experienced players are welcome.

This is part of a series of free playtests that are taking place before the launch of Your Turn Games, a TTRPG business I’m (hopefully) launching in October. The playtests are completely free (cash donations welcome but never required), with the goal of making improvements with feedback from the players. Hey! Very sorry for the slow reply — I’m currently hosting family / traveling, so I’m a bit behind on things. But I’m more than happy to share more about it!!

I’m still figuring out some of the details (and navigating all the business bureaucracy — the ultimate BBEG :sweat_smile:), but the basic idea is a small TTRPG business (called Your Turn Games).

The main thing would be in-person RPG sessions in English, where people can sign up individually for one-shots or campaigns for a per-seat fee – a bit like StartPlaying, except in person. People could also book games for their own group, like birthday one-shots, beginner sessions, ongoing campaigns, etc.

A big focus for me is making it easy and low-risk to join games even if you don’t already have a group, especially for people who might feel uncertain walking into an established table without knowing what to expect, and doubly if they’re complete beginners! Inclusivity and basic safety tools would be standard, and I’d like to offer things like beginner-friendly games, FLINTA/women*-only sessions, simplified English games, and games at less conventional times.

I’ve also got various side ideas – character creation workshops, crafting/minis painting, collaborations with local artists, maybe an open TTRPG library, open board game nights, etc. And I’m hoping to get some corporate/team-building sessions booked, which would help keep the regular sessions reasonably affordable.

It’ll probably be mostly D&D at first, but I definitely want other systems involved too, especially if there’s demand for it!

Nothing particularly groundbreaking – mostly trying to create the kind of easy entry point into TTRPGs in English that I wish had existed when I was first trying to find D&D games in Vienna. :slight_smile:
