Looking for group

Hello all

I’ve been living in Vienna for a few months now and, as I’m going to be here for a least a couple of years for work, I am now looking for a roleplay group/campaign to join. I’ll play just about anything at least once, although I prefer the fantasy or sci-fi genres really. I’m generally just a player but I’m also willing to GM a game.

A short list of games I’ve played (those I remember or could find character sheets/books for):

D&D(2nd, 3rd, 3.5 and 4th)
Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay
Shadowrun
Mage The Ascension
Demon The Fallen
Star Wars (d20)
Serenity
Stargate SG-1
SLA Industries

I notice you have a Thursday meet-up at the Spielbar which I might try to make regularly. Is this just a general show up and find a game meet?

Welcome!

Yes - although it would be good to leave a post in the corresponding thread (for that day) so the people who wanna run a game know in advance how many will be there a.s.o.

I didn’t even know there was such a thing as a Stargate-RPG. Is it fun?

Yeah, it was quite fun. It’s by AEG and is a d20/Spycraft-based system. I believe it was published around series 6/7 of SG-1 (2003). There isn’t much material for it other than the basic book as MGM pulled the license.

It suits quite well as an RPG - you play as an SG team and so usually you have that one gaming session = a mission. (We did manage to mess up our GM’s campaign in the first session - he tried to get us trapped off-world and completely underestimated the parties determination to get back to the gate).

Sounds interesting. Maybe we could play that one or the other Thursday at Spielbar.
