I’m planning to run a campaign on VALUE Fridays and am looking for 4-6 players!
I’m Jan, aka @janlocks. I’ve been playing and DMing for a bit over a year now. I’ve run a few sessions at VALUE before—including a fun little mini-campaign —but this will be my first more organized project.
The adventure I’ll be running is a steampunk-themed hop-on/hop-off campaign, designed for levels 1–14. Each session will be a self-contained adventure, so players can drop in and out as they like.
The setting draws inspiration from the Netflix series Arcane and the Bioshock video game franchise.
I would be interested once I finish up my mini campaign.
I have some questions about the setting (You will probably elaborate later on in more detail anyway ) :
Considering the gods are gone, are there any restrictions on some classes like clerics, or do you have your own system for them? Also do some things not fit thematically?
How long ago was the interplanar nuke? How much do we know about the thing?
I hear politics. Are there any factions we are supposed to be aware of?
Otherwise, I can only recommend games with Janlocks (The DM), they are a great player and really fun to be around. They really care about role-play and are a pleasure to work with.
would love to have you on board!
As for the questions
Paladins and clerics are allowed and work like normal, with exceptions for any Feature or spell that would have your diety interact with you like divine intervention and commune.
Other than that it will mainly have lore and social implications since divine magic is outlawed in the city as are paladins and clerics.
||Thematically I think most things should be fine as long as they‘re not pure pop culture references or joke themed. Other than that i think like a very preachy cleric or Paladin prob also wouldn’t make much sense because it’s illegal in the setting.
The nuke was 99 years ago. Your characters knowledge will depend on how long they were alive and background etc.
there is a few! Am currently still working on them, but I will probably update the thread with known Noble houses and Companies this week!
Also thank you much for the kind words:)! Much appreciated!
