Hey, Im not new to Vienna but new to RPG. I would like to try DnD but unfortunately I only have time Saturdays from 10-15:00. Are there any beginner friendly Saturday groups? There doesn’t seem to be anything in the „looking for group“ section since 2025?

a while ago we met in a “pizzeria” to game on Saturdays
right now there are no groups there

we played at Sägewerk Wien (1090)
they only have an electro grill (like PizzaHut) and do not have a stone oven 
although we ate mostly pizza there, Sägewerk is part of the “Bausatz Lokale”
= you order a pizza, or burger, etc … and mark which ingrediences you want in there
Good to know. Then I will bring my pizza stone if we ever play there. You can put it in a regular oven or grill and get much better results.
to be fair our Italian gamer liked it
it is gastro, so I do not know how happy they are if you offer them your pizza stone 
they were always pretty chill though
(my personal main complain was that Sägewerk was a bit too loud)
also you do not have to eat something there, but they were kinda expecting that everyone consumes something there (like a drink per player on average)
Ok maybe I’ll try their pizza before I assume they’re desperate for my help 
Now that it’s getting warmer we could also play in a park? Or is that impractical? I also know a Cafe in the 19. that has a lot more tables than customers and an upstairs area that should be pretty quiet maybe they would be ok with dnd

Parks are ofc an option but in my experience it can be really tricky to get one of the few coveted tables there especially on weekends. I guess stuff like the Kurpark Oberlaa If you go off the main areas could work.
Generally I’d be down to play or DM a Saturday one-shot, be it in a park or a indoor location.

We play in a park when we can (also in the 19th) and have found it to be extremely practical.
