My name is Alex, I’m from Aotearoa New Zealand and I just moved to Vienna this week! I’m 23, and I grew up mostly in South East Asia. Really excited to be here now!
In my spare time, I’m a game designer and a TTRPG podcaster, and I’m really excited about Indie RPGs.
In terms of my RPG history, I’ve been running D&D since I was in middle school, and I’ve run a number of other systems too. I’d be keen to run Indie RPGs and TTRPGs other than D&D, just becasue I feel like I’ve done my time with that game and I’m interested in what else is available. I’d probably join a cool D&D one-shot as a player though!
Oh sure! It’s called Wait, Roll That Again! It’s basically a game design podcast where, in the first two seasons, I’m taking you through the design of my first game. You’ll find it here!
Cool, really nice to see fellow people who are interested in game design! Really hope we can get some games in together, it seems like we’d be interested in similar types, as I’m a big Ironsworn (also PbtA) fan.
In case you’re interested, my own game hobby project can be found here: https://paganpacts.com/
We’re playing open table style every thursday ususally.
I’m not sure I know what you mean by that - We have a discord with ~20 people (it’s linked on the website) where I and others announce sessions and the first 4 people to react are in. First time you come we make a character together and then you’re assumed to play the same char again next time around. But sessions are episodical, so you can just come when ever you have time.
We’ve played each thursday for a while. But in august I was mostly gone, so we had a long break.
