Hallowe'en Game - Oct. 30, Open to All (Update: New Location)

Boo!

You are cordially invited to an evening of tricks and treats the night before Hallowe’en!

Once upon a time, the Hallowe’en game was an annual RPG Vienna tradition. We’ve let things fade in recent years, but by popular demand, or at least one guy casually mentioning bringing it back, it’s time for a revival! I’d be honored if you’d join us on Wednesday - just don’t get lost in the Upstairs Hallway!

As an added Hallowe’en treat this year, everybody’s favorite pigeon-avatared poster has agreed to bring an extra-special Interesting Item - and if you’ve ever been around for one of his ThatGuyTed Talks, you know you’ll be in for a treat!

Wednesday, October 30th, at the famed Spielbar Tavern, Lederergasse 26 Beaver Brewing Company, Liechtensteinstr. 69

Show and Tell at 6:30

Game at 7

Please RSVP in this thread

Anybody showing up in costume will receive double experience points (this may not be as cool as it sounds). Anybody bringing an item more interesting than Ted’s will receive a prize!

This is not a 5th edition game. No experience required. No limit to number of players.

as I was the one pushing for this, obviously I’ll be there (as long as no catastrophe hits)

I’ll be there with some thing/something …

Yes!

Sounds fun, I’ll be there

Count me in!

Sounds like fun, thanks for the invite!

I’ll be there.

Going to limit this to 37 players.

Because 38 would clearly be too many.

(Any number of people can play this game.)

Hey, I thought I was the one annoying @H for it for a while! Nevertheless, I’ll be there for some ACTION

P.S.: bonus nostalgia points for also having @ThatGuyTed bringing interesting item (will it be… a meteorite?)

If nothing springs up, ill come check it out.

My, my, you’ve got quite the commotion going on here. Mind if I tag along? : P

What’s the game and how do we prepare for it?

That would sound quite ominous, except that Sarah already said she might drop by with something that is “definitely not a knife,” and I can only worry about so many things at a time.

I think I filed you under ‘the one bugging me about bringing back the tournament.’ :b

Of course there’s a commotion - who could turn down the opportunity to see Ted and His Interesting Things live?!

And very happy to have you.

In this case, not knowing the game is half the fun. There’s also no way to prepare for it , just bring some good cheer!

(If for some reason it’s important to you to know, drop me a line. Not that I can say too much anyway - I haven’t actually written the scenario yet.)

You’ll be surprised what the other half of the fun is.

If any halves involve Hallways or Villages, count me out.

Update: New location

Sadly, Spielbar was fully booked, because Wednesday is bingo night and bingo is the hotness these days or something.

Therefore, we’ll be playing at our home away from home: Beaver Brewing Company, Liechtensteinstr. 69. They may not have thirty different quesadillas that all taste the same, but they do have seasonal beers.

See you tomorrow!

Bingo. Sheesh.

Ugh, I have to cancel for tonight - very sorry about that. That’s what happens when everyone at work is off enjoying their Herbstferien and you agree to cover for them.

Have lots of fun and spooktastic encounters!

I’m on the way and hopefully I’ll still catch the last bit of Ted’s talk
