Next week is our game! So excited. Please confirm you will be attending, so that we know if anyone from the waitlist can move up.
As a reminder just in case someone has already forgotten what was in the first post 
: We are building level 1 characters according to the 2014 PHB only (so no species, spells or (sub)classes from other books, even if they’re legal within the VALUE system) on old-school pen and paper - no digital character creation for this session. We are here to help get you started in building your own characters, and create them in a way that makes sense.
Building a character can be kind of tough in the beginning, so here’s some things to consider - just think about it for the next week or so when you’re on the tram and that’ll help you get started more easily.
- Is there a specific character from a book, movie or game you want to build your character after that you can use as inspiration?
- Do you imagine your character as having great physical or great mental abilities, or maybe some of both but not much of anything? Are you sneaky or charming or a great singer? Do you want to do melee or ranged damage? Do you worship any God?
- Do you want to do Magic?
This is a funny quiz that may help choose your classes. Of course it’s not aboslute but maybe it can help.
Right here is a 20 min video explaining all the classes in D&D. Optional watching, but just in case someone wants to do some homework This may be using a different rule set than the 2014 PHB, but the class description in general will still be accurate.
When we are done creating the characters, we’ll take a short break and then we’ll go into a short and sweet adventure just so you can learn how to roll the dice, make attacks and role play a bit. It will be a normal adventure, just on the easier and shorter side. The aim is for us to be done with the game around 10.45, so after that we can level up to level 2 together - however, timing games is tough so it might take longer. I need to leave at 11.35 PM so that’s the latest we can go with our game
What to bring:
- Pencil and eraser or erasable pen. There will be lots of writing involved.
- if you want to take notes, bring some paper or a notebook.
- we have empty character sheets and will fill them together. This will include quite a bit of writing on your part.
- we also have dice, but if you do have some, feel free to bring them.
- you can buy drinks for 4 EUR (cash only) at Requisite, but the selection is limited to if you want something specific best to bring it. Bring any snacks you may want to eat or share.
- There is a 4 EUR location fee to be paid in cash.
When to be there: On time! We start at 6.20PM, Krummgasse 1A.
If anything comes up, feel free to ask - and also, remember to please confirm your attendance

I have not defeated my powerful enemies yet, so I am still in Vienna and gladly come.
I have a 1-level character, who is supposed to grow since the last game. Would it be reasonably to use that one, or should I think about someone very different? Maybe direct messages would be better.

Hi! You will need to create a new character from scratch, because it is a character creation session as well as an adventure. So you show up and we create characters together. It may be boring seeing as you know how to create a character, but like I said, it will be up to you to decide whether you want to do it (I want to keep the group together the whole evening, so you can’t just join the adventure). We are setting you up on the right path so you will be able to create your own characters in teh future, but we are not there to discuss optimized builds or anything.
