My name is Dani (short for Daniela), I’m 28 years old and I was always very interested in Pen & Paper games - but as I never had somebody in my circle of friends who share this interest, I never dared to dive into this hobby. A week ago, I bought the Pathfinder Beginners Box, and my first step in the amazing, limitless world of tabletop RPG started!

I hope you’ll find a group soon. Maybe open a thread in the general rpg section to get more people to see that you’re looking for a group.
Also the Thursday-game-group is a good start to meet people from the forum. As the name suggests the group meets pretty much every thursday to play various games.

I have DMed a fair bit of Pathfinder and heard good thing about the starter kit, although I have yet to try it myself.
We have a weekly(ish) game on Thursday, the game itself change every week, as it has become the opportunity for people try a variety of rules and games.
It is not as confusing as it might sound, however and that might be a good opportunity for you to try various games and see which ones you prefer (this week, we had a couple of D&D games, Pathfinder has shown up a few times too and I might DM it again at some point).
That might be a good way for a newby to get into the hobby (and it is also an opportunity to meet people and get invited in a group)…
Thanks for the nice welcome! I will check out the rpg section and maybe I will try the Thursday game night - i just hope it’s not a problem that I’m a total newbie. I don’t want to annoy anyone with many beginner questions.
Welcome to the forums Dani! Nice of you to drop by As Simon mentioned, Thursday night’s are a great way to meet a few of us. Don’t worry about being a newbie, none of us are ‘power gamers’ or anything like that, we’d much prefer to meet new people and have a laugh with the multitude of systems that are out there. I don’t know how this Thursday will work out, I believe Simon won’t be there (H too?) although Thopthes mentioned running a sci-fi game, if I’m not mistaken! Anyhow, you’re more than welcome to come along and say Hi.
