The Dogs shall ride. It is known!
Although next Thursday specificaly has recently become a bit difficult for me - could you guys make it on Wednesday as well perhaps? (I may still be able to solve the difficulty, though. Just checking for possible alternate dates just in case i wont be able to postpone my other obligation for thursdayâŚ)
thatâs okay, if a bit sad of course. But Iâm aware its themes are not for everyone, and if you have whatsoever reservations or strange feelings about it, probably better to bow out than to make yourself play it in spite of them.
The gameâs religious angle in particular may be problematic for some. If you canât see yourself portraying an honestly religious Paladin doing morally questionable things in the name of the Actually True One True Faith, and in a rather historically charged setting at that, no one can blame one for that.
That said, Simonâs pass means there are a maximum of 2 free spots for the game now. Alrik and Tom will both play I take it, and I donât want to go over four players for this one. Three players is as fine an option as 4 though, so that means that 1 or 2 people can still join up at this point.
It is always possible to join in later, though (such as Tam has announced she plans to do after her hiatus). I may find myself lifting the 4-players-max restriction as I get the first few sessions under my belt.
So, for now, either -H- or Darthbinks joining up would get us to playable size, and if both want to join, thats also perfectly possible!
color me intrigued. care to elaborate on your current thoughts about what the genre has to offer?
Just asking since I for one could not find much interest in the âsuperheroâ genre in quite some time now. I think somehow superpowers themselves kinda ruin the human aspect of a story (or game) for me. Although Iâm fine with wizards and the like, funnily enough⌠Anyways, I prefer stuff like the Watchmen and Batman (heroes without powers) much more than any of the endless incarnations of X-Men or JLA or Spidey or Supes or what have you
In my opinion, Dr.Manhattan (from the Watchmen) is probably the only convincingly written superhero with actual superpowers ever. And for those who know how his story goes, go figureâŚ
