TLDR-How come we don’t filter Discord Hijackers?
So I know I haven’t been active lately and it saddens me to have this be my first log in in a while, but I have had it.
Our discord server is among the very few IRL communities. This “struggling artist” phenomenon on discord is what causes me to literally hit ignore on every friend request that comes from online communities. When it is our space, I trust that if somebody messages me, it is a person from our actual circle even if I can’t put a face to a nickname.
Yet here is the third time this happens in the past 5 months. I don’t want to turn into a sociopath, I’d love anyone from our space to feel free to address me for whatever purpose. But I can’t have these annoying discord flies get to me through our platform.
Are we aware of this? Do we do something about it? Maybe the time has come for our server to stop accepting people automatically?

(Just clarifying that although I am convinced that these kind of work is already gone in our age of AI for like 99% of RPG/gaming communities purposes, I don’t think they deserve no compassion. Especially since I’ll bet some of them, are us. But I have lost ALL my patience in the past couple of years since it is like became 95% of the friend/message requests I get on discord. It is time to move on to another source of income and in any case, get off platforms that aren’t meant for this.
