Well I can fly (by myself), I am invincible, and I can kill anything living by just concentrating on wanting it dead. The range of this power is virtually endless as long as I know of the thing’s existence. It works on people, animals and plants, and everything in between. I’t usally takes about half a second to finish, though my target is already paralised after about 1/1000 of a second.
You do realise that lying to the DM could be penalize!!!..
correct to 1/100 of a second.
I got the power to control the DM. Do I win?
now seriously, I can heal 1d6 worth of hp a few times per day on a single target and it is a swift action if I do it on myself. I also have good saving throws now.

lol, okey, sorry. Of course its 1/100th of a second.
Two words: rapid shot
So we get a level?
I don’t think that you can gain experience by lying unconscious in some temple
Only the ones playing last session, except for the Barbarian.

how is that different to lying around on the field and playing dead?
who did that?
and the difference is that you can experience how the other people of the party are mastering the obstacles, and learn from that
raises eyebrow
I thought we had agreed on group XP? Are we seriously playing one of those games where if someone new joins and we’re at a higher level, they get to start out at 1?
When he joined everybody was lvl 1. You both will get your lvl up next session. I dont see any problem here.
There is no problem with it being like that in itself. It doesn’t mesh with the idea of group xp, though. That implies that the whole group receives the xp, as a group, with new characters brought in as equally experienced people. Of course that’s not very realistic, but the entire XP system is an abstract in the first place.
If we’re starting new players at 1 on general principle, even when we’ve reached, say, level 5, I do see a problem, but not sure if that’s the underlying idea here. I don’t particularly care if Edmund levels now or after the next game, but if we’ve decided on group xp … well, only doing it halfway seems to me like it defeats the purpose.
Edit: Removed a bit that wasn’t really relevant regarding the general benefits of group XP, so my tendency to ramble doesn’t detract from the overall post.
If you had been lvl 2, he would have entered as lvl 2. Now, I am always on to role the extra session were you were not able to come. Anyway, there is a group xp… you and the barbarian got slightly delay, but next session you all will have the same “xp lvl” again… after the first “awarded” xp. Then, you will all continue increasing at the same time.
Ohhh, okay, you’re doing it like that. That’s actually pretty interesting, hadn’t occured to me before … probably because I haven’t actually played traditional pen&paper D&D that much. There’s less of a ‘session’ thing going on in forum-based RP … or in my other, german-speaking group (we don’t really do ‘xp’ in that one, most of the time we level at story-appropriate times).
It might happen that Sabine has to let the vet euthanise one of her rats next wendsday (before our session), and she will probably not be in the mood to play afterwards. just a heads up.
Sorry to hear that.
That said, wednesday seems to be out anyway cause apparently Hugo can’t make it.
I’d say that we try to find a date where at least 4 people got time, cause it seems almost impossible to find one where the whole party is present.
According to the calendar, 6 people got time on friday. Is that still valid?
friday the 11th or wednesday the 16th would both be options for us.
Maybe VonDoom can recheck his calender if one of those would be possible for him also.
Wednesday the 16th works well for me, but I can’t commit to Friday (11th) right now. I may have time, but I won’t be able to properly confirm until this Wednesday.
Let us know then
What about the others? Especially our director/GM
