We’ve also been asked that people limit gathering right outside the door as much as possible. Short smoke breaks aren’t a problem, we just don’t want to disturb the neighbors.
Post below if you are coming - all tables are open. Players of any level of experience are welcome.
Since I am completely enraptured by KULT: Divinity Lost at the moment, I am more than willing to run a table for it to spread the joy around. This is an interest-check for anyone who hasn’t experienced it yet.
KULT is an infamous albeit lesser-known “darker than black” horror RPG that knows exactly what it is and isn’t the least bit afraid of anyone. You will know, once you play it. There are no class features or constant tossing around of math rocks - your greatest asset is to know your player character well and do …anything and everything that a human is capable of doing. KULT is supernatural, don’t worry.
I am currently practiced in running 2 modules but can testrun an unkown 3rd if people want that. “The Atrocity Exhibition” (art, freeform immersion, social engineering, layered crime and organisations, anti-American sentiments) and “Oakwood Heights” (law enforcement closes down an infamous case involving their own officers in the mess of the past, kidnapping, murder, abuse and perpetrator psychology) are the featured choices.
3-4 players are already a lot in KULT games because the spotlight is so important. The art session has no fixed characters, you would create your own. Oakwood Heights has prewritten characters (and they’re good! and interlock with each other!) perfect for newcomers.
So. Please respond if you want immersive roleplay goodness
Everyone here would like to add you to a table, we’re all friendly to newcomers. If you could, please state your interest : D see it like chatting us up, then we know how to organize.
Personally, I’m dming KULT and will run The Atrocity Exhibition if at least 1 more player shows interest. KatharinaKuo is one of the players. I also see that Nepu has open spots in fabula ultima.
A bit late with advertising because I couldn’t decide wether to stick to home a bit more or go on vacation early. I’m not going early so I’ll bring with me this night a run of the mill T1 adventure, we dungeoncrawl baby! DnD 5e should i need to specify the system. And now a little teaser:
“The local temple to the elemental forces of creation has been taken over by radical cultists who seek to bring about primordial chaos into the world. With twisted rituals and one of the 40.000 warhammers said to have been used to smith this world, they will surely bring doom upon themselves and the world. Now the exiled clergy asks for the help of this land’s adventurers: break into the temple, steal the hammer and save the world!”
Insert picture of cool looking flaming cloaked figure standing on a field of ash looking at the camera. The flaps of its cloak billow in the wind.
Should i not get enough players by tomorrow I can join another table, though I’d preffer GMing since I haven’t been doing that for a long time, or so it feels. I think it’s like 3 weeks or so since.
A blazing thanks to @Istariel@Velos@benjamin and @Crios for joining me on today’s adventure. I had a blast playing with you! The silliness! Oh it was silly! Your questing earned you some:
Rewards
The maximum amount of 160 GP I can give out for playing a T1
Your choice of either a Lightning Javelin or any Adamantine Weapon(See notes Notes for background)
20 Downtime days to level up your characters or do other Downtime Stuff
1 Elemental Gem consumable of the red corrundum Type
Story Award(My table only, for future games) “Blessing of Elemental Chaos” Once per session your character can trigger a wild magic effect from an enlarged d10.000 wild magic table at my disposal. Just give me a heads up before the session to get it ready. It’s chaos time!
Aftermath
You not only cleared out the “Palace of the fire Oracle” and retrieved one of the 40.000 Warhammers used to create the world, but also done so utterly valiantly, without stealing anything from the deserted place(4 days of Food ignored). On the contrary, you actually payed tribute to the gods and got some short term blessings, with the possibility of a long-term one as well(see story award). The one item you took, the book with rituals of elemental summoning is most likely better in your hands this way. The returned Goblin clerics were so happy to find the place in one piece and nothing important missing that they payed you the maximum they could afford as well as some elemental gems on the road. The hooded muscle creature turned out to be an Azer, a fire elemental especially keen on smithing gear. He will now remain in the temple and aid the goblins in their duties. It even gave you the chance to chose an adamantine weapon for yourselves because of helping him kill his most dreaded enemy: Water.
With you on their way and the town back at peace the future looks bright. The local politic people are eager to help out Elarion clear the scourge of his home forrest, wether they succed or not is a question for the future, but with the ballance restored chances are high it will work.
Notes
So it turns out that the wiki I use to link the items I give out and what they do doesn’t have adamantine weapons listed, allthough they are part of Xanathar’s guide and definitely a thing! Either way I think giving it out ok, if it ain’t an uncommon magic item then it’s most likely just an item, like a silvered sword or so. All it does is auto crit against objects if it hits them, so… enjoy trashing grandma’s fine china with your choice of an adamantine weapon!
