Most people would neither know nor care about the village of Glee. Nestled in a valley between several mountain ranges, it’s a place for music and arts, for jugglers and entertainers, for kindness, compassion and companionship. The weather is always sunny at 22 Celsius, the night is always cool with a small drizzle. Living a carefree life, the citizens trust all creatures big and small.
After a night of dancing and singing, Mayor McSmile sleeps soundly in her bed. As she wakes up in the morning, something is changed. The sun isn’t as bright. The flowers don’t seem quite so joyful. The colors are dimmed. And it … starts to snow. Hoping for a cup of hot cocoa to dispel whatever curse this is, she stops by the Jolly Jester… but instead of jolliness and hot cocoa, she finds only people crying. As her eyes wander around the room and look at the lack of cheer in the room, her eyes fall on the far-side wall. Empty.
The horn of bardic inspiration! Someone must have stolen it. In a flash forward, she sees the future of the town, of the world: No more colors. A world in black and white. A world without joy, without song, without dance, without art. Without joy for learning, chances are, wizards wouldn’t want to spend hours learning new spells, even fighters would grow weak without the pick-me up a nice song by the fire after a battle can provide.
Snapping back to life, she realized: the horn must be retrieved.
She instantly goes and sends a message to all surrounding towns asking for immediate support by a party of 5 brave adventurers.
Oh no! The source of all happiness gone?! That can’t be true. What would the world become if waterboarding wasn’t fun anymore? What if seeing people fall victim to their own greed wasn’t the joy it always was? Mischief and murder without the delight? You can’t make people suffer if they don’t know happiness… No! Blix can’t let that happen!
Please sign up with clear intention of what you’d like, DnD or KULT. as usual, DnD requires some character knowledge while KULT requires a lot of character knowledge
(your own character, that is, because these are RPGs)
I might have to leave early, but if that’s no problem I’d like one dose of “emotional kidnapping and repeated backstabbing in a murder case (KULT)”!
Wonderful! Then that’s “Oakwood Heights”, the KULT scenario about law enforcement going into utter darkness. Will send you the details (character) as soon as we have more participants!
