I should be there around 19:00. I’m kinda on my way so I’ll drop by sooner. Just saying in case someone else may come by earlier.
Once again guys, I can’t make it tonight. I swear I’ll be there next week or Simon can set his Cthulhu in Power Armour on me! Have a good one, missing you all already!
Great game yesterday, thanks, Auburney.
btw, I checked this morning: the novels on which the RPG I spoke about is based on, the Cardinal’s blades, are available in English. The synopsis :
Welcome to seventeenth-century Paris, where intrigue, duels, and spies are rife and Cardinal Richelieu’s men may be prevailed upon to risk life and limb in the name of France at a moment’s notice. And with war on the horizon, the defense of the nation has never been more pressing. Danger is rising from the south—an insidious plot that could end with a huge dragon-shaped shadow falling over France, a shadow cast by dragons quite unlike the pet dragonets that roam the cities like stray cats, or the tame wyverns men ride like horses, high over the Parisian rooftops. These dragons and their descendants are ancient, terrible, and powerful … and their plans contain little room for the lives or freedom of men. Cardinal Richelieu has nowhere else to turn; Captain La Fargue and his elite group of men, the Cardinal’s Blades, must turn the tide. They must hold the deadly Black Claw cult at bay, root out traitors to the crown, rescue prisoners, and fulfill their mission for the Cardinal, for their country, but above all for themselves.
It’s death or victory. And the victory has never been less certain.
This is the first tome. The story is a trilogy.
I also found out that there are some books translated in German (Drachenkampf & Drachenklinger), but I do not know if they are the same: I do not read german
weeeeeeeeeeeeeee
negotiated a free friday with my boss, i’ll definitely be there on thursday \o/
I’d be happy to finish the DW scenario this week, since I should not start a new thing before my two weeks absence… Will you be up to continue it, Auburney ?
totally agree with melchior
dwarven Power ftw!
Yes, let’s continue it, if Simon can also join!
Also, there’s potentially 1 more free spot for the DW thingy, since only 3 players so far, and we didn’t really get too deep into the adventure yet.
No necessity though, just saying in case someone additional shows up this week who wasn’t there last week…
For example Tam.
Tam, where are you?
Just to plan ahead a bit (for a change), do we have anything on the schedule for the 27th yet? If Darth isn’t running Star Wars that day, I still have an already prepared - well, sort of - game of Grimm I’d like to try out.
For those of you who haven’t played Grimm yet, it’s a lovely little game about fairy tales and other pleasant things. The last game we played, for example, featured fluffy bunnies. What could be nicer than that?
This particular scenario will be a fairy story entwined in 80s pop music, with a touch of Lewis Carroll and just a hint of Bradbury. In other words, it’ll be the usual mess jotted down on the back of an envelope on the tram.
This would be a one-shot (promise). Four to six players. Assuming anybody’s interested, that is.
On another note, I’ll have a bit of time on my hands and an urge to get in some gaming in the week from the 24th to the 2nd. Would anybody be up for some extra afternoon or evening games in addition to our usual Thursday fare? Or perhaps a roleplaying brunch on the 1st or 2nd? (I could host if we want to try a change in venue.)
I’d be in!
I hereby confirm that -H-, the pleasant and honest gentleman that he is, really IS telling the truth and that the game involved fluffy bunnies.
EUGENEEEEEEEEEEEE.
(On board on the whole gaming week idea btw. It’s the last week of my break and I’m all up for using it up well. With games. GAMES, I SAY!)
You know that I hate that name…don’t make go looking for that dwarf again
And yes: fluffy bunnies…they’ll even talk to you…*
- … if you can’t run away fast enough that is.
Oh, come now. Those bunnies really were very nice. They even gave you a head start …
The Star Wars One-Shot is ready (and the PCs are printed^^). Initially I planned to end Mountain Witch first and then play “Edge of the Empire” after that (on the 27th).
[After that I will (try to) work on the next One-Shot]
If you want to run Grimm on the 27th, I could wait with Star Wars?
btw. Did you dm “Shadows of Esteren” yet? I would love to play that.
aaaaaah …this sounds really nice XD
I am in
- will not be able to make it on monday (24th) and tuesday (25th).
@RPG-Brunch: sunday the 2nd would be nice
@RPG-Brunch: sunday the 2nd would be nice
I’d be in.

Looking forward to seeing you all again tomorrow. It feels like ages!
Roleplaying brunch sounds great. Have to check the date but I’ll try to make it! Will let you know soon.
See you tomorrow!!
