Morpork, world-traveling dragonborn, knew that there was no way his comrades could stop a psychotic serial killer. Already marked for death, he gave in to a wish of a flesh-shaping stone-aberration and let himself be petrified together with the insane murderer, thus both turning to stone.

His sacrifices won’t be forgotten.
