Sorry, I think Iāll have to cancel - WoWkeepers just doesnāt work for me schedule-wise this weekend. Maybe I see you for the second part. ![]()
hi ![]()
regarding space reasons, I put you two into the B
group
if you need any help, let me know ![]()
Hey! I know Iām cutting it close with my request, but I was wondering if I could come by tomorrow. I have never played TTRPGs before and am quite intersted in DnD. I just thought I could drop by and see how everything goes. I donāt have to participate immediately, so I would be fine with just checking everything out.
(I posted this message in the other VALUE thread as well, just in case one group had no room left.)
Hey, is there a table free for me here? Iād like to join a dnd table ![]()
Yes there is space in the T1 investigation game if you wish to join
Awesome! Iāll be there!!

Armed with only theater props, you got secret military intel from a dying spy, used dough from the kitchen as well as a wet towel to stop vampires to follow you in vampiric mist form, and escaped the local theater of Port Hermosa into the Caverns of Ixalan, all while vampire conquistadores threw a victory party in the theater.
You traversed the Caverns of Ixalan, befriended malamet (catfolk), fought off undead fungi as well as vampire conquistador persuers, and faced a Tendril of the Mycotyrant to finally reach the surface.
Back on the surface, you colour-sprayed yourself out of the fields of ruin, cleansed the primal wellspring that had been corruped by vampire blood, healed a merfolk shaper from his infected vampire bite, paid your respect at the dinosaur graveyard, and even defeated an undead triceratops to reach the burning outskirts of Port Hope.
In the burning outskirts, you avoided the patrols of vampire conquistadores looking for hiding resistance, broke into an abandoned alchemistās cellar and found useful supplies, and met an inquisitor of the Sun Empire setting up a local defense in a temple to finally find a place for a Long Rest.
After the vampire conquistadores overran the temple while you were resting there, you stopped opportunistic looters, lead the refugees out, avoided gun fire from a vampire sniper, and finally reached in sight of the last bastion of defense of Port Hope, a fortified mansion. In the way was just a roaming vampire-bat-demon ⦠and with every Inspration and Luck you had left, you all made it to sneak around this soul-consuming abomination, just well enough that you reached the bastion of last defenders, who stormed out to come to your aid to slay this spawn of evil.- ⦠and somehow you all survived this.

- You saved 3/4 of your companions (
) and thus 75% of the refugees in your care, you have picked up on the way. You arrive beat up, but thankfully still alive, at the last bastion of the defenders in Port Hope. - The leader of the defenders, Myrea Voss, is extremely thankful once you give her the collected information from her dead spy. Her expression changes to worried though, once she reads about a large force of vampire conquistadores in detail, that is on their way to āexecuteā the last defenders of Port Hope.
your second part of the V.A.L.U.E. EPIC for your group will be dm-ed by BufoBufo next Friday
A Stay of Execution (T1)
The brave souls gathered in Port Hope survived the first attack and the ensuing chaos, but they are not out of the woods yet. Everyone understands that the death sentence issued by the vampire conquistadores has not been quashed, simply postponed. No one knows when the execution will come, but each person hope to live long enough to see the threat pass, and to receive the clemency of fate ā¦
Rewards for surviving āThrough the Ashesā
All your Rations are def. spoiled now, and you have to throw them away.
You all gain +20 Downtime Days (keep in mind that the max. level of the next adventure is 4), 100 GP as a reward from Myrea Voss, and ONE of the following magic items:
- The inquisitor of the Sun Empire is extremely thankful to you. You send Ichtaca to stop the looters at the temple, send Chaāac to save the dying Sun Empire soldier from the vampire gunner, reported that the ādangerous criminalā Nash is dead, and laid a dying dinosaur to rest (as well as did refuse to loot the trifold-sun shrine at the dinosaur graveyard).
-
- She gifts you Lightbringer (uncommon), but it is dedicated to the Trifold Sun (and not Lathander).
- Thanks to blessings of the Mycotyrant, your infected rations grow into a 15 inches long fungus, that can unleash the power of the mycorrhizal web.
-
- You gain a shroom-like Wand of Web (uncommon, attunement by a spellcaster).
Everyone, who gained but did not use and thus still has a Healing Potion from the alchemistās cellar, can keep it. You also can keep the following mundain items if you want to: alchemistās supplies (8 lb.), a dagger (1 lb), a flail (3 lb.), a sickle (2 lb.).
Unused magic crystals, Aglaope found for you in the caverns, have lost their potency by now.
⦠I will post Homebrew Story Awards and Homebrew Downtime Activities later ![]()
Thanks for DM-ing Leo

Homebrew Story Awards
Luck of the Storm Fleet
for the group B
During the follow up adventure, you have 1 Luck re-roll, for the whole group. If anyone of your party uses it, this Homebrew Story Award will be gone.
Backup
for the group B
You unlocked 3 replacement characters, which are playable should a player character die during the next adventure. (I will bring them printed out with me next time), or could help you out (story-wise) in any other way.
After having survived this adventure, they are:
Aglaope, f. aarakocra, bard (glamour) lvl 3, entertainer
- her wings are still broken, but she can Glide (instead of Fly)
Chaāac, m. triton, cleric (knowledge) lvl 3, archaeologist
- you thankfully healed his infected vampire bite
Ichtaca, f. tabaxi, rogue (scout) lvl 3 / warlock (undeath) lvl 1, acolyte (mycotyrant)
- she has the Blood of the Mycotyrant story award (see below)
Blood of the Mycotyrant
for Dorotheos (@DrStrizi) & Illumar (@Istariel), as well as Ichtaca ![]()
Your blood is green and poisonous. Anyone who drinks your blood will suffer from the Poisoned condition until the end of its next turn. This ignores Immunity from vampires and vampire bats. You also get access to unique Downtime Activities (see below).
As a downside, your character dies when you have TWO (instead of three) failed Death Saves, and should your character die, they will come back as an NPC spore servant of the Mycotyrant.
Homebrew Downtime Activities
Broken Wings Healing
for anyone who is proficient with Medicine
Downtime Cost: 10 Downtime Days
You heal the broken wings of Aglaope.
This would result in giving this replacement character a Flying Speed.
Conquistador-Vampire Research
for anyone who is proficient with Religion
Downtime Cost: 10 Downtime Days
You and Chaāac research the vampire conquistadores.
You might learn something useful (this might also help the other group).
Your Village also needs to be Strong
for Dorotheos (@DrStrizi) & Illumar (@Istariel)
Downtime Cost: 10 Downtime Days
You join Ichtaca on a re-visit to her village in the caverns, to make the villagers stronger by letting get them corrupted by the Mycotyrant.
This will result in getting troops of hardened, infected malamet (tabaxi) warriors for the next adventure.
Blood Poison
for Dorotheos (@DrStrizi) & Illumar (@Istariel)
Downtime or GP Cost: 5 Downtime Days [Repeatable]
From your own infected blood and the supplies you found at the alchemistās cellar, you brew TWO doses of Blood Poison (stored in vials) to get an edge against the vampires.
You can apply Blood Poison as a Bonus Action to a weapon or piece of ammunition within 5 feet of you. Once applied to a weapon or piece of ammunition, the poison retains its potency for 1 minute or until someone hits with the weapon or ammunition.
When a creature takes damage from the coated weapon or ammunition, that creature must succeed on a DC 14 Constitution saving throw or take 2d8 poison damage and become Poisoned until the end of the attackerās next turn. This ignores Resistance and Immunities from vampires and vampire bats.
