Cool, cool! Can we choose from the main clans or the extended list? (I don’t remember which spurce it was).

for @Kirgul & those who know the system …

TL;DR
no Salubri, no Caitiff, no Thin-Blood … all other clans are fine
(for story reasons Toreador & Tzimisce will use the Alternate Clan Weakness from the Player’s Guide)
any Predator type should be fine (Roadside Killer makes maybe less sense)

  • System: V5
  • Faction: CAMARILLA
  • Clans:
    • clan of the new prince: Ventrue
    • “The Big 3”: Brujah, Nosferatu, Toreador
    • vassal clans: Banu Haqim, Gangrel, Hecata, Lasombra, Malkavian, Ministry, Tremere
    • outcasts: Ravnos, Tzimisce

EXTRA:

  • do not pick the Status Merit, you get that for free from me
  • Toreador & Tzimisce use their Alternate Clan Bane from the Player’s Guide instead
  • no Caitiff, no Salubri, no Thin-Blood
  • your Coterie type is Maréchal (enforcers of the prince), but I will stat that for you
  • since you are a vampire for a while (~20y-30y) you additionally gain +15 XP, which cannot be used to buy out-of-clan Disciplines you do not already have
    • but your starting Humanity will be 6 (modified by Predator Type)

please keep in mind this will take a while, 'cause as mentioned, I am in two bi-weekly campaigns on FR and since illness-reasons they are running longer than anticipated :slight_smile:

Btw, have you ever had a malkavian at your table? I created a concept long ago, it was so hard somehow…

Also, as a dm, are there any types of characters you dont like to have in the WoD?

yeah had plenty of Malkavians (also my last VtM campaign had one too)

Also, as a dm, are there any types of characters you don’t like to have in the WoD?

will def. do a short session 0 (and I will send those who plan to hop in later a summary)
… that being said, aside from lines/veils stuff,
characters should have a reason, why their clan wants them (and not someone else) to be part of The Hounds

Interesting. I guess you’ve had all the clans at the table. I’m just curious, which clans are played the most or the least :thinking:

there was a survey at a con in 2017; the 3 highest ranking there were

  • Malkavian 13.5%
  • Tremere 13 %
  • Gangrel 11.5 %

at the tables I run & played we had basically everything
… but since there were some players who always played their favorite clan … and some chronicles required unique setups
hard to say

I’d also say, that many players are Malkav, no matter what Clan they play…
